Process Engineer Freelance Contract - Mannheim, Germany Job description For the German branch of a global pharmaceutical company we are recruiting for a Process Engineer with at least 4 years of experience ideally within the pharma/biotech industry. The contractor will primarily work in three areas of expertise: · Yield improvement · Lean manufacturing · Process optimisation Responsibilities · Monitor the production process and interpret data · Validation of automation, process and equipment changes · Problem solving, deviation and failure investigations · Facilitate product support in accordance with GMP requirements · Generation or update of production batch records · Create, update or ensure Production Batch Records and SOPs are kept updated and in compliance with GMP and regulatory filing Requirements and skills · Previous experience in a process engineering role within pharma, biotech, FMCG or nutrition industry · Excellent technical skills, knowledge of process technology and manufacturing equipment (particularly in the production of tablets and capsules) · Knowledge or experience of Tech Transfer would be advantageous · Working knowledge of process engineering software packages · Knowledge of process related standards and GMP · Familiarity with health and safety regulations · Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills · Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or similar · Excellent English language skills both spoken and written, knowledge of the German language would be a distinct advantage All these activities will be carried out in a multi-disciplinary engineering team and involve close cooperation with several internal and client departments.
