Job Summary We are looking for an engineer with working knowledge and practical experience in hydrogen infrastructure to serve as the company’s Hydrogen Reliability Engineer (HRE). You will be accountable for ensuring that new hydrogen products and projects are designed for reliability and once fielded, are managed with the help of best-in-class people, digital tools, and analytics. As company’s products and projects have little precedent, you will excel at working with next generation hydrogen equipment where access to historical data is limited/non-existent and safety is the top priority. You will be collaborative and practical, supporting company’s internal engineering, product development, and operations teams and will work in partnership with third party OEMs. You will have a focus on the performance of current products under development/in deployment as well as a clear drive on building a long-term reliability and asset management capability for the company. The HRE drives product improvements throughout the development and operational life cycle, by leading FTAs and FMECAS and through condition monitoring and system performance analyses/reporting. The successful candidate will have excellent reliability engineering fundamentals and experience modelling and managing reliability of complex energy infrastructure. The HRE will report directly to the Head of Reliability and Asset Management. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the safety culture in the delivery of next generation hydrogen infrastructure from design through operations. Build reliability models to support new product development. Support product engineering and new product introduction phases through reliability engineering analysis and documentation: Lead FTAs and FMECAs and assist in risk management assessments of new designs and updates to released products. Support and mentor suppliers in their efforts to implement reliable product designs Assist with defining verification and validation activities for new products Provide actionable analyses to operations engineers and product development teams to enable condition based maintenance and product improvements Compile and analyze fault and performance data from customer assets Assist in implementing corrective actions in conjunction with cross-functional team members Support the development and delivery of digital reliability and asset management products and services to customers. Qualifications Undergraduate in engineering, physics, or other relevant fields A background (at least 5+ years) in reliability and asset management roles Demonstrated experience conducting FMEA, FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis and Risk Assessments Hydrogen project and product knowledge is a significant asset Experience delivering reliability modeling, failure reporting, and asset monitoring tools, analyses, and reports What Qualities are We Looking for?
