For more information: www.vantagegrp.com Vantage Leuna Vantage’s largest EMEA manufacturing site, which the Company acquired in 2018, is in Leuna, a town near Liepzig in eastern Germany. Maintaining the quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, this 95,000 square meter site with approximately 130 employees is the world-leading producer for taurates and its building blocks, as well as for chlorinated paraffins. The facility also manufactures specialty surfactants and intermediates that support our consumer and industrial business divisions. Our products cover a broad range of applications, including beauty & personal care, household industrial and institutional cleaning, animal feed, specialty textiles and flame retardants. Vantage Specialties Spain Vantage Specialties Spain, best known for specialty natural oils, has an office in Granollers, Spain, and a processing, blending and distribution site in Les Borges Blanques near Barcelona. This state-of-the-art manufacturing facility produces many types of natural oils—rosehip, hempseed, pomegranate, black cumin, grapeseed and more—for use in beauty & personal care and food formulations. Our site is certified to ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001, Kosher-certified standards. The business, formerly known as Textron Plimon, became part of the Vantage group in 2019. Vantage Asia-Pacific Vantage operates a few sales offices, warehouses and laboratories across Asia-Pacific. Account managers, sales support professionals, technicians and operations personnel in locations such as China, Hong Kong and India bring personal care, surface treatment technologies and other products to our customers throughout the region. The Role Human Resources Business Partner, EMEA and APAC, provides strategic and day-to-day HR support to the business as required across Europe and APAC. The primary purpose of this position is to partner with the local European and APAC leadership teams to provide HR expertise and direction, to effectively act as a business partner and to work closely with U.S. HR teams to ensure successful delivery of HR processes and goals. This role will be a balance of strategic organization development consulting and tactical implementation of HR processes, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee relations, succession planning, learning & development, engagement, recognition, and culture enablement. Reporting directly to the Vantage CHRO in Deerfield, IL, USA, and partnering with the EMEA and APAC senior leadership teams to support more than 200 employees, this role will be located in the Leuna, Germany, facility with travel expected as necessary to other sites. There are currently two direct reports supporting the team. Accountabilities with Key Outcomes · Partner closely with Business Managers in the regions and disciplines to understand the local needs and requirements. · Actively drive the talent agenda in partnership with the leadership teams, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of key global HR processes of the employment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, selection, induction, contractual terms, hiring metrics reporting, performance reviews, annual salary reviews, leadership development and incentive/bonus/pay schemes. · Facilitate Succession Management and Talent Agenda to build the talent pipeline and bench strength and to close skill gaps. · Design and execute the agreed regional change programs and HR initiatives consistent with business strategy to ensure organizational effectiveness. · Develop and implement HR programs and policies to ensure efficient and effective people management which drive business results and optimize employee engagement. · Develop and continually improve the employee value proposition to attract, develop and retain talent. · Drive the creative process, together with the business leader for Europe, to identify and implement most effective staffing structures that foster a rapidly changing and complex environment. Drive personnel development, conduct training and workshops, lead change management, foster relationships, etc. · Promote core values and ensure that all our actions, leadership and interactions with each other reflect these values. · Promote a style of helping, supporting, coaching, mentoring and servant leadership to help all our employees to be as successful as they can be and to promote employee satisfaction and delight. · In cooperation with CHRO and EMEA/APAC regional business leaders, drive the process of an effective compensation strategy. · Actively drive the talent agenda in partnership with the leadership team, ensuring that identified talent has actionable development plans in place · Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations. · Ensure both directly and through leadership team a constructive and trusting relationship with the Work Council. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Essential · Demonstrable HR expertise and high performer in a fast-paced environment - minimum of 7 years of experience · Proven strategic business partner and influencer that has developed talent across geographic boundaries · Ability to create and execute through other best-practice frameworks to drive global consistency · Ability to operate in a matrixed culture and environment · Proven successful change management experience across geographic boundaries · Strong relationship with Work Council · Coaching and facilitation skills · Ability to travel up to 40% · Resilient and hands on – can handle volume and pace · Strong communicator - evidence of representing the function in senior level meetings · Strong written skills · Fluent in English Desirable · Recognized formal professional qualification - preferably a degree in HR or equivalent · Spanish and languages of the locations at which we do business and/or willingness to learn Spanish
