Global Director Warehousing & Logistics – Fashion & Lifestyle (m/w/d) Our client is an international company in the field of Fashion & Lifestyle. It has activities across the world and is on a path of strong global growth. The company’s brand stands for premium products and a loyal customer base. Due to a new strategic set up, the company is looking for a Global Director Warehousing & Logistics (m/w/d) to empower the global operations organization to manage the business’ growth, sustainably. The position is based in Germany (not disclosed for confidentiality) and requires the person to be on site a few days per week. It reports to the COO. Role & Responsibilities From regional to functional: The overall warehousing & distribution strategy is being transformed and you will have the lead for this transformation. Further development of the strategy and improvement of service and reliability. Manage the operational transformation and increase the global logistics capabilities. Strong collaboration with the Director Transportation. Guarantee and improve delivery and lead times in all distribution channels. Lead the DCs , some are owned, some are managed by 3PLs. Manage the DC managers and help them to bring their operations to a next level. Evaluate the global DC footprint and product allocations to relevant regions. Take ownership for the negotiation, selection and collaboration, with 3PL service providers. Efficiently manage demand and capacity. Define, track and analyze operational metrics based on relevant KPIs. Improve the cost structure of global warehousing activities. Benchmark with key players in the industry, but also in other markets. Profile & Requirements Several years of warehousing and distribution management in a multi-site and multi-distribution channel network with global responsibility. Passion for fashion and premium brands. Strong background in a global environment in the sports, fashion, or related consumer goods industries is required. Proven track-record in large-scale project and stakeholder management in an international supply chain management organization. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in managing multicultural, cross-functional and remote teams across several time zones. Ideally experienced in production environments and fulfilment. Strong strategic thinking and conceptualization. Strong communication skills: persuade, influence and negotiate. Strong customer centricity, internal and external. Strong business acumen and business understanding in end to end supply chains. Availability to travel an estimated 40%. Fluent English and good German skills are required.
