This role belongs to our German subsidiary Wipro Technologies GmbH with a headquarter in Frankfurt.

This role is open for Sindelfingen and Stuttgart location in Germany.

In the capacity of DC Support Engineer - Smart Hands Technician will work under limited supervision providing smart hands services in the critical datacenter environment and communications closets.

Your working area & responsibilities

• Installation or removal from server rack, configuration and repair.
• Server provision (ILO config) for the server team for further use.
• Documentation of device locations in the IT Shop.
• New installation of Windows and Unix blade clients.
• Coordinate hardware repairs on the devices through the manufacturer and coordinate appointments with the server teams and the respective technicians or verify that the repair has been completed.
• Perform independent repairs to equipment by replacing defective components.
• Receive and process IT Shop orders as faults or tasks.
• Receive and process ServiceNow orders as faults or tasks.
• Create IT store orders according to specifications - Server orders, Client orders, Disposal
• Create and monitor ServiceNow deposits for the installation of new machines.

Your skillset

• Understanding of ITIL Processes including Incident, Change, Problem and Configuration Management.
• Familiarity with Remedy Force ticketing system and CMDB a plus.
• General understanding of Data Center Infrastructure Management tools is helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Microsoft Visio desired.
• 3+ years IT field engineering support, data center smart hands support, media services support or computer operations support experience highly desired.

• German fluency is mandatory for this role along with English
