Accommodation Outfitting Engineer (M/F/D)

This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the largest German shipbuilding powerhouses in Northwest Germany. We are closely working with our client to urgently recruit for Mechanical / Industrial Engineers ideally with cruise accommodation shipbuilding experience. As part of the Technical Equipment Department (Hotel Division), you will be working within a team that is responsible for planning of catering areas like galleys, bars, pantries, provision rooms, as well as laundry, cabins, corridors, offices, stores, workshops, crew stairs, doors and locking system on board. Your main responsibilities include: Supervision of difficult / complex assemblies and design tasks Design and planning, as well as conception of assemblies in the area of the specialist department Introduction of innovations and optimizations of work processes (workflow) within the areas to be supervised Adherence to and maintenance of task lists, material and weight budgets as well as the drawing directory for a series in the entire specialist area Coordination with internal/external customers and necessary authorities for ships under construction Carrying out acceptance tests and quality controls Negotiation and technical coordination in cooperation with the purchasing department with customers, suppliers and class Supervision of apprentices and trainees Coordination with the chief engineer and the technical draughtsman of the respective ship To be successful for this role, you should have: Successfully completed studies in a technical field as a graduate engineer, bachelor or master's degree Ability to work independently, as well as flexibility, resilience and innovative thinking Ability to communicate and work in a team Business fluent in English Several years of professional experience CATIA/CAD knowledge Due to visa sponsorship restrictions, we will only process applicants with EU citizenship or valid working permit in Germany.
